The Beverley Herd

About The Beverley Herd

The Clough family have had Lincoln Red cattle on the farm, at Halton Holegate in Lincolnshire, since the 1900’s. The Beverley Herd of pedigree Lincoln Red cattle was established in 1957 by Albert J. Clough and now is in the hands of the next generations Ivan and his son Martin.

We started showing our cattle in 1995, we have learnt a great deal in the last 20 years, having enjoyed success along the way. Martin started by competing in the YFC Heifer competition. Helen, Martin's sister won this competition a few years later. Martin now helps the new generations of young farmers by taking a few students each year for the competition. One of whom, Lizzie, went on to become his wife!

Our showing achievements culminated in 2012 when a young bull that we bred and produced, Beverley Noble, stood supreme champion at the Lincoln Red Cattle Society show and sale. That day he went on to be sold for a breed record price of 18,000gns, a record that is still yet to be beaten.

You can see pictures of our stock bulls and showing success on the gallery page of this website. For a more up to date look at what we are doing follow our facebook page, “The Beverley Herd”.

Breeding stock often available and viewings are always welcome
